Raisins in the Sun

 Grapes and Wine

Raisin Man   Okay, so the Sun Maid raisin company doesn't have anything to worry about here.  Nevertheless, raisin drying season has arrived and wine making is only a couple days away.  It has been very warm out and we have been sleeping out under the stars.  There is rain in the forecast for Thursday.
The bird problems have dropped down to zero.  Even the piliated woodpecker flies right over and the wasps have all but disappeared.
Meanwhile, tomatoes are taking over the house, although we seem to be currently on top of the zucchini invasion.  There are a lot of peach preserves in the cellar and a new box of nectarines on the bench.    When I'm not typing up oral histories or cranking out the PGMC Newsletter, I have been learning JavaScript and working on Google Map pages.  They are working well in the FireFox browser, but Internet Explorer is giving me fits. Oral histories and wine are on top of the agenda.  But tonight I finally got a very stubborn file to work, http://www.mapmet.com/GMaps/Test/PGMCSites.html.  Turns out there was one corrupted character in it.Harvest Madness

I should mention that there are two articles about what I have been up to in local papers.  Here is a link to the Statesman Examiner and the Kettle Falls Focus (Article on page 3 about oral histories).
So that is about it for today.  Harvest madness goes on...
