Stevens County was the
second county where Map Metrics created the dataset for Enhanced 911. The
project involved merging data from all levels of government and using GPS to
create linework and address points. As in our other counties, all emergency
services have used our books to save lives. This one was particularly hard
because the address system is based on driving distance from a stoplight in
downtown Colville. Problems with the original system and determining routes
to distant points in the county made assigning correct address ranges to all
roads tricky. You will notice address numbers and direction
indicated by the greater-than sign ">" along the roads in this book
With this edition we are adding Stevens County to the
list of mapbooks we offer where every page is available for free download.
We don't think you should pay for a whole book if you only need one page.
If you do need a whole book, we believe our printing and binding costs are
less expensive, and certainly less trouble than printing a whole book for
yourself. We use thick, waterproof, sun-safe ink on heavy paper with
rounded corners and spiral binding. You can access main map pages
through this
map. You can search the index for a particular
road or place through this link. To find pages for particular
cities or covers, map key etc., go to the
City Pages.
Through hard work and cooperation with county fire
districts, Stevens County has become our most successful book. We invite you
to see why for yourself.
