Gifford Campground

Gifford Campground is a major installation north of Gifford Ferry and South of the Gifford Post Office. This is a view of the camping area that is just south of the boat launch. There is also fresh water and a waste dump for RVs. There is plenty of access for RV's as well as camping spots for tents.

This is a view of the dock that leads into the campground from the lake. It is not a boat launch. That is at the north end of the campground. After you have launched your boat, you can tie it up here and have access to camping and the other facilities in the campground.

The boat launch itself can accommodate two trailers at the same time. Although the ferry crosses the lake just below the campground, the water is fairly wide here and gives you access to terrific views up and down the river. For more information contact the
Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area website.
